President asks to expand repatriation of Mongolians from abroad

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga today met with some Cabinet members and corresponding officials, giving a directive to carry on with the tasks to bring back Mongolian nationals to their home country in a wider scope.
Mongolia has repatriated its 12,853 citizens from over 40 countries until today, nevertheless, there are additional more than 10 thousand Mongolians left abroad, who have wishes to arrive home immediately and living in difficult conditions.
Therefore, the President tasked to pay attention on increasing the frequency of charter flights and work more promptly in the future. Also, Deputy Prime Minister Ya.Sodbaatar was obliged to perform and introduce a thorough study on the possibilities of the next charter flights, their schedules and the capacity of healthcare sector and isolation facilities.
The President also ordered the government ministers to continue the repatriation campaign that was being conducted by the previous government, and ensure readiness of each of their sectors.
