Health Minister meets WHO Representative

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Health D.Sarangerel on June 30 met with Resident Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Mongolia Sergey Diorditsa and authorities of the National Center for Communicable Diseases, discussing the current Covid-19 situation and future challenges to determine possible threats and take precautionary measures.


The minister ordered NCCD authorities to focus on  health care services and availability of quarantine facilities and infection prevention and control as the virus is still spreading across the world and the country will evacuate over 2,500 citizens this month in addition to the 8,872 evacuees currently in quarantine.


WHO Resident Representative noted that the country is still at great risk and advised to continue to work on high alert.
