Project begins to construct apartments for 3,500 households in ger district

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On July 11, Shine Barilga LLC has been granted a certification for winner of the bid for a ger district redevelopment project. The company, which will redevelop a 24 ha of area in 23rd subdistrict of Songinokhairkhan district, is currently building apartments for 126 households on a site of its own as part of the project and the construction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
“We are building school, kindergarten, and hospital in
addition to apartments and townhouses for 3,500 households on 24 ha of area to
create a pleasant living environment,” said Shine Barilga CEO O.Dorjderem.
According to Head of the Ulaanbaatar Local Council R.Dagva,
local council members launched another green affordable housing project in
Songinokhairkhan district last month. “The municipal authority is working on
the infrastructure development phase of the project,” he said while informing that the local government has handed over keys to ready-to-occupy
apartments to 500 households from Songinokhairkhan and Bayanzurkh districts in exchange
for their land lots since the beginning of 2020.
