Six subcenters to be established for urban development

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 2040 Ulaanbaatar city Long Term Development Master Plan has been developed and submitted to the Cabinet. Urban economies will be diversified as per the Ulaanbaatar and satellite city development goals set out in the Vision 2050 long-term development policy document.
“The Ulaanbaatar city Development Plan includes establishment of satellite cities To achieve the objective, urban economies will be diversified and satellite cities will be developed with citizen-centered policy,” Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan said during his weekly online briefing.
Also, six subcenters will be set up as part of the three phase master plan. “Various smart and high-capacity underground transport services will be introduced and Ulaanbaatar city will be connected to the satellite cities by passenger transport routes. Public transport services are being improved. 200 school buses will be put into service from September 1 and 800 taxis will start service as well. Other transport service projects are underway. We aim to become one of the 20 countries with the best human development index by creating pleasant living and working environments” the governor added.
