213 lives saved in January

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. As of the first month of 2020, 385 disastrous occurrences have been recorded. As a result, 14 people and 123 livestock died, causing loss of MNT 1.4 billion, according to National Emergency Management Office (NEMA).  

 

2616 people and 536 equipment of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other organizations saved the lives of 213 people and protected property worth MNT 7 billion. MNT 19.1 million was spent from NEMA and local budget for disaster prevention and elimination of consequences.

  

41 rescuers and 10 equipment worked on 7 calls of traffic accident and saved the lives of 6 and transferred 2 bodies to the police.

 

As of the first month of 2020, 14 people died as a result of disastrous occurrences which increased by 2 or 1.7 percent compared with the same period of previous year.


In 2019, the number of saved people increased by 711, protected property value increased by MNT 19.1 billion compared with 2018.
