USD 262 million project of wastewater treatment center to be signed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On January 15, The Cabinet made following decisions.
- A bill on additional financing of Ulaanbaatar Clean Air Project to be submitted to the Parliament. When approved, the funding will be expended for replacing old heating stoves by access to central heating system, procurement of equipment for the State Specialized Inspection Agency, provision of more than 5 thousand households with modern electric heating appliances and cable connections, and building shared infrastructure center for about 200 households in the Ger area. The additional credit financing of USD 12 million has been agreed with the International Development Association (IDA).
- A necessary funding of USD 262 million for the construction of the central wastewater treatment plant will be sourced from USD 1 billion soft loan from China. Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar was authorized to sign the project agreement. The treatment plant is expected to open in 2023.
- MNT 10 million assistance to be provided for medical assistance of music composer, pianist B.Chinbat. Upon the resolution by Health Minister D.Sarangerel, another MNT 5 million will be given to him.
