Meeting with senior officials of White House National Security Council

/MONTSAME/ On January 9, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
D.Davaasuren met with Allison Hooker, Senior Director for Asia, White House National Security Council.
The two
sides stressed that reciprocal high-level visits, especially the Mongolian
President Kh.Battulga’s visit to the United States of America as well as the
visits of U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and U.S. National Security
Advisor John Bolton to Mongolia played significant roles in strengthening the
Mongolia-U.S. strategic partnership.
Underscoring
the importance of deepening bilateral economic cooperation, the parties talked
about partnering in effectively keeping the Agreement on Transparency in
Matters Related to International Trade and Investment between Mongolia and the
United States, getting the Mongolia Third Neighbor Trade Act passed, and having
Mongolia removed from the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force and the U.S. side was
all in favor of the expansion of bilateral trade relations.
Moreover, during the meeting, State Secretary D.Davaasuren invited Ms. Allison Hooker to pay a visit to
Mongolia.
