Ambassador of Japan presents the credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki presented his letter of credence to President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga today, on December 25. Following the ceremony, the President received and met with the Ambassador of Japan in connection with his presentation of his credentials.
President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga noted that Mr.Kobayashi Hiroyuki has served twice as a diplomat in Mongolia and this experience is significant in expanding the bilateral strategic partnership and economic relations.
Moreover, Mongolia is interested in establishing an agreement with Japan on export of coal as the main economic development relationship with Japan is the ongoing railway construction in Mongolia. The sides agreed to hold a meeting again to discuss this issue.
Last but not least, the sides held talks on cooperation on preparing and training young athletes who will compete in the ‘Asian Children’ International Sports Festival which will be held in Mongolia after Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games.
