Forum takes place on Mongolia-Germany relations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A forum was held on the relations
between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany on the occasion of the
20th anniversary of the ‘Mongolian-German Bridge’ association for alumni of
German universities on December 22.
Established in aims of making contributions to the country’s
development with the know-how they acquired from studying in Germany, the
anniversary of ‘Mongolian-German Bridge’ alumni association NGO was opened by
Board Chairman U.Otgonbayar, with remarks delivered by Deputy Head of Mission
at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Michael Fernau, foreign
policy advisor to the President of Mongolia T.Tegshjargal, and Country
Representative to Mongolia for Konrad Adenauer Foundation Johann Fuhrmann.
The forum’s main presentation was done by advisor at Department
of Policy and Planning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ts.Bolor, which covered
the relations between the two countries, and the wide range of partnership
developing on the level of comprehensive partnership.
Presentations were also done on the partnership in development,
education, and science between the two countries, and the pressing issues and
opportunities in the trade and economy of Mongolia-Germany by Head of
Development Cooperation at the Embassy of Germany Johannes Schnaider, Rector of
German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) Dr.
B.Battsengel, and Resident Representative of KfW Michael Sumser.
During the forum the participants highlighted the continuing streak of Mongolian
youth studying in Germany since the late 1920s.
