Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its regular meeting held today, November 28, the Cabinet of Mongolia decided to provide assistance worth USD 45 thousand to Australia concerning the bushfires burning across the country.

The raging bushfires in New South Wales and Queensland of Australia have left at least six people dead and caused a significant amount of property damage, still threatening more lives and homes in extensive areas.

There are around seven thousand Mongolian nationals living in Australia, most of whom are in New South Wales. Moreover, it has been reported that some Mongolians living in Australia will be donating more than AUD 4 thousand they had collected to Red Cross Society for supporting the communities affected by bushfires.
