26th TAFISA Congress takes place in TokyoSports
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. 26th Congress of the Association for International Sports for All (TAFISA) was held in Tokyo, Japan on November 13-17 under the slogan “Sport for All through Tradition and Innovation”
Executive council member of National Olympic Committee of Mongolia (NOC) and Chairman of “Sports and Active Society” committee Ch.Amarsanaa took part in the congress. Over 350 delegates from 78 countries have participated in the congress and held wide range of discussions and debates on longevity, improving quality of life, government’s role in interconnecting people and sports, innovation, public opinions on sports etc.
On the last day of the congress, Japanese traditional “Undo-Kai’ sports event took place and the team which the Mongolian delegate took part, placed 2ndout of 10 participating teams.
Although ‘The Association For International Sports for All’ was first initiated in the early 1960s, it officially established in 1991. Now it is based in Frankfurt, Germany.
