Director of Consular Department works in Bangkok

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs L.Munkhtushig worked in the Kingdom of Thailand from May 5 to 7, 2019.
During his visit, Mr L.Munkhtushig held meetings with the representatives of Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sorayut Chasombat, Deputy Director of the Department of Consular Affairs, and Chavanart Thangsumphant, Deputy Director of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand T.Tugsbilguun and other officials.
In connection with the growing citizens travel movement between the countries, the parties agreed to intensify establishment of the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance to strengthen legal protection of the rights of Mongolians in Thailand.
The sides also discussed the development of bilateral consular relations, exchanging information and experience on consular issues.
