Foreign State Secretary meets Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of U.S. State Department

on April 25, met with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs
of the U.S Department of State Ian G. Brownlee in Washington.
Mentioning the first consular meeting held between the Mongolian Foreign Ministry and U.S. State Department on the same day, the two sides emphasized that the ‘Travel Responsibility’ campaign has made positive changes in Mongolians’ compliance with U.S. immigration laws. State Secretary D.Davaasuren pointed out Mongolia’s endeavor to be involved in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program.
In 2018, 175
thousand Mongolians were living abroad, of which over 25 thousand in around 200
cities of the United States.
