‘Mongolia Mining 2019’ to promote responsible mining

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The ‘Mongolia Mining 2019’ International Mining & Oil Expo is to be held for the ninth year on April 10-12, 2019 at Buyant Ukhaa Sports Palace with the attendance of around 150 companies from over 20 countries, in particular, domestic and foreign companies operating in Mongolia, and mining suppliers from Canada, Czech Republic, Australia, USA, Finland, Italy, Germany, Russia, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan and so forth.
Major equipment
suppliers including Transwest Mongolia LLC, United Belaz Machinery LLC, ZAMine
Services LLC, Hera Equipment LLC, Green Chemistry LLC, Epiroc Mongolia LLC, and
Professional LLC will display their new technologies and products at the expo
hall.
Moreover, during
the expo, the organizer will hold seminars on the development of Mongolia’s
mining sector, global trends, procurement policies and plans of the major
companies, as well as the main theme of this year’s expo, responsible mining,
the Ministry of Mining and Heavy industry will give a report on Mongolia's
mineral reserves and state policy to domestic and freign suppliers and
invertors, and the suppliers will get information on procurement policies and
requirements of Oyu Tolgoi LLC, Erdenet Mining Corporation, and Erdenes Tavan
Tolgoi JSC.
Under a
motto to support responsible mining, the expo will promote mining companies’ social
responsibility, environmentally friendly operations including the
rehabilitation, and investments.
The expo will
be organized by Minex Mongolia Co., Ltd with support of the Ministry of Mining
and Heavy Industry, Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mineral
Resources and Petroleum Authority, and Oyu Tolgoi LLC while Transwest Mongolia
LLC, Tsbon LLC, Tsgn LLC, and Hera Equipment will be the sponsors.
