UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation visits Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 31, Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar received Her Excellency Reem Bint Ebrahim Al-Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, who was visiting Mongolia.  

Expressing their satisfaction with actively developing bilateral ties and cooperation, the Ministers shared views on interested matters of bilateral and international relations.

Emphasizing Mongolia's attaching significance to its relations with Gulf countries especially with the UAE, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar noted that there is an opportunity to implement big projects further like Taishir Hydropower Station, which was built with the soft loan of the UAE, and expressed its interest of cooperation.
 
In her turn, the Emirates Minister for State said she is visiting Mongolia for the first time and thanked for the warm welcome. Her Excellency informed that the country intends to expand and develop bilateral cooperation with Mongolia in education, agriculture and health.

On August 30, official delegation accompanied by the Minister for State held several meetings with representatives of Ministries of Education, Culture and Science and Health and Food, Agriculture and Light Industry as well as the Development Bank of Mongolia, exchanging views in detail on bilateral cooperation and ongoing projects, programs along getting familiarized with operations of the 14th secondary school and the First Central Hospital.  

Her Excellency Reem Bint Ebrahim Al-Hashimi is also Managing Director for the Dubai World Expo 2020 Bid Committee. She expressed gratitude to Mongolian side for confirming its participation at Prime Ministerial level and affirmed readiness to cooperate.

Within the visit, the Minister for State paid a courtesy call on the President Kh.Battulga and met with B.Munkhjin, Advisor to Prime Minister.
