Campaign to help Japanese people launches

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Non-governmental organizations operating in Japan such as Hokkaido-Mongolia Relationship Association, Warm Heart in Japan, Union of Mongolian Students in Japan, ‘Local Commodities’ of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Ryuugakusei Friendship company of Japan launched a donation campaign to help Japanese people who affected by natural disaster.

Heavy rain lasted for over ten days caused much loss in Hiroshima, Okayama and Eshima prefectures in south west part of Japan. As of July 13, 187 people were died in 16 regions and 67 are missed. Moreover, 255 thousand buildings, roads and fields were destroyed due to torrential rain and landslides as well as thousands of people have become homeless.
 
"Mongolia and Japan have many years of historic friendly ties and Mongolians should not forget kindness of Japanese people who give us a helping hand all the time. Therefore, Mongolian NGOs running operation in Japan commenced a donation campaign to help Japanese people, calling on Mongolians to participate this campaign actively" the initiators said.
 
Donation will be delivered to citizens who need help through city administrations of the flood-hit regions and corresponding organizations.

Cash donation will be received by bank account of Hokkaido-Mongolia Relationship Association and commodities will be received by address of Warm Heart in Japan organization from July 13 to 1pm, July 20.
