Mongolia’s Permanent Representative to WTO presents credentials

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolia’s Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the World Trade Organization L.Purevsuren presented his Letter of Credence to WTO Director-General Roberto Azevedo on March 28.

At the meeting following the ceremony, Permanent Representative L.Purevsuren noted that Mongolia has been persistently supporting multilateral trading system and holding a liberal policy on foreign trade since its joining the WTO in 1997.

He also mentioned that Mongolia is working to make progress on issues of the DOHA Development Round, which have not been reached yet, and it is actively contributing to actions on moving forward the interests of landlocked developing countries in the international level. Moreover, L.Purevsuren informed that a Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of an International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries in Ulaanbaatar city was ratified in October, 2017.  

WTO Director-General affirmed its readiness to cooperate with Mongolia in strengthening multilateral trading system.
