10 family health centers planned for 2018

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar City Governor S.Batbold has received Minister of Health D. Sarangerel on December 25.
The meeting started with General Manager T.Gantumur’s presentation on taken measures to improve healthy environment in 2017. More green spaces were built, naked soil size was reduced, roads were adjusted for people with disabilities, more parking spaces were created and entry/exit gates were opened around National Traumatology Center, Songinokhairkhan District Health Center, Third National Hospital and National Cancer Center, he highlighted. A total of 812 meters long, 7 meter wide roads were built with pedestrian walkways on both sides and 190 parking lots and rainwater draining system were build.
Head of Health Department of the capital L.Tumurbaatar also reported on current situation and plans in health sector of Ulaanbaatar. Both sides exchanged their opinions on actions in connection with spread of flu. At the moment, flu spread is on the rise and 16 thousand children have been treated at city hospitals.
MNT14 billion will be spent for health care from the City Budget in 2018 and 10 family health centers are planned to be built next year. They also discussed development of medical facilities and child ambulatories, as well as quality of service provided at family health centers.
