Coal transport queue in Gashuunsukhait shortened to 49 km

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A working group comprised from the Ministry of Road and Transport Development and National Auto Transportation Center (NATC) worked at Gashuunsukhait border crossing last week and took staged actions on coal transport, resulting to shorten the coal truck queue to 49 km.

Led by Head of Road Transport Policy Implementation and Coordination Department of the Ministry of Road and Transport Development S.Batbold and Deputy Director of the NATC Sh.Batsaikhan, the working group  got aquaintance with operations of 124 entities that transport coal from Erdenet Tavan Tolgoi JSC, Energy Resource LLC and Tavan Tolgoi JSC, supervising the contract realization and making transport arrangements on the site.
 
Since December 13 coal loading has been suspended at the mines and coal trucks in the queue moved 14 km ahead over the last 24 hours. The trucks in the queue are expected to cross the border within 2-3 days, according to the officials.
