UNIDO Director General to visit Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 8, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar visited the UN Office in Vienna to meet Li Yong, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
“The Government of Mongolia gives significant importance to the development of SMEs and introduction of technological advancement and innovation in the country,” noted the Minister.
The Director General expressed the UNIDO’s support to industrial development in Mongolia and confirmed its willingness to intensify bilateral cooperation in diversification of Mongolia’s economy, promotion of SMEs and advancement of technology.
The sides agreed on a visit by the Director General to Mongolia in the near future so as to strengthen bilateral ties.
