International competition for young violinists ran in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An ‘International competition for young violinists’ took place on December 02 in Ulaanbaatar. The competition is organized among students of secondary and high schools at the initiative of the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Governor of Capital city every two years.
This year, more than 85 pupils from Mongolia, Japan, Australia, Russia, the United States, China and South Korea competed in the three age categories, of which M.Murun from the 23rd school won the Grand Prix.
Among foreign contestants 14 year-old Yong Seo Ri from South Korea won the first place while 10 year-old Christian Choi from Australia took the second place in their age categories.
