WB to implement project on employment support

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An employment support project will be implemented with a fund from the World Bank (WB) with aims to enhance actions and policy on employment and to make employment opportunities at the labor market more accessible.

“This project will help reducing the unemployment rate by augmenting job places and population’s income will rise,” said James Anderson, WB Country Director for Mongolia when he met with S.Chinzorig, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, on November 10.

Minister S.Chinzorig expressed thanks to the World Bank for long-year collaboration with the Mongolian Government in the country’s socio-economic development in all levels. He believes that the WB would carry on its assistance to Mongolia for tackling issues.

Regarding the new project, the Minister underlined the important of creating job places in countryside, supporting cooperatives and family business and backing graduates of vocational training centers for starting up their business and providing them with necessary facilities and loans.

James Anderson said the WB will continue works for employment and reducing poverty rate.
