Ulaanbaatar-Bangkok direct flight opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian Airlines (MIAT), the national flag carrier of Mongolia, opened a direct flight route from Ulaanbaatar to Bangkok, on November 4.
The Ulaanbaatar-Bangkok route flight will be available every Wednesday and Saturday until March 21, 2018. Mongolian passport holders have visa-free entry to Thailand for staying up to 30 days in Thailand. According to a study, around 15 people travel from Ulaanbaatar to Bangkok daily. Most of the travelers visit Thailand for medical treatment.
The Ulaanbaatar-Bangkok direct flight lasts 5 hours and launched on Saturday with Boeing 737-800 plane. The ticket price costs MNT 1.6 million, which can be lowered during public holidays, the MIAT informed.
