Ambassadors of Belgium, Finland and Austria present credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 31, newly accredited Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium, the Republic of Finland and the Republic of Austria presented their diplomatic credentials to President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga.
After the ceremony, the President received the Ambassadors for bilateral meetings.
During the meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Mark Vinck, the latter and the President talked about ongoing cooperation in the Project on Upgrade of the Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Western Region of Mongolia. The dignitaries highlighted that the countries are possible to broaden their cooperation in business sphere.

The President asked the Ambassador to visit the countryside to get better acquainted with the country, and underlined the importance of a prompt completion of the Project on Upgrade of Western Region Diagnosis and Treatment Center. He also noted that boosting the cooperation in culture, especially, in the film industry, is complied with interests of both countries.
President Kh.Battulga received Jarno Syrjälä, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Mongolia.
"Finland is one of the countries that openly interacted with our country since Mongolia had socialist system," the President emphasized, and expressed an interest of Mongolia in a development of some winter sport kinds such as ice hockey and bandy that are very common in Finland. He added Mongolia wants to develop ties in plant-nursery and forestry.

Ambassador Jarno Syrjälä promised to put all efforts in strengthening the bilateral ties. He said Finnish side is ready to share its expertise in mining with Mongolia. Reportedly, Finnish wrestlers visit Mongolia for training each year.
President Battulga suggested it would be great if the Mongolian and Finnish athletes train together for the 2020 Olympics.
During his meeting with the Mongolian President, Ambassador of Austria Friedrich Stift congratulated Kh.Battulga on being elected the new President of Mongolia. He said this year marks the 55th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations, and asked the President to attach importance to implementation of the second phase agreement of the General Agreement on Financial Cooperation.

The Ambassador noted Mongolia and Austria have capacity to broaden bilateral trade and economic relations.
Mentioning that opening of the diplomatic representative of the European Union in Ulaanbaatar this year, the President underlined that this is an important event for the Mongolia-Austria ties.
The President of Mongolia wished the Ambassadors the best of success in their works.
