Ulaanbaatar and Busan to make their cooperation closer

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A memorandum was signed by S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Suh Byung-soo, Mayor of Busan city of South Korea, when they held a meeting on October 23. In accordance with the memorandum, projects will be implemented between the cities.

During the meeting, S.Batbold expressed his satisfaction with implementing the Official Busan Assistance for Development Project and launching the cooperation in education and cultural sectors in order to activate the inter-citizen relations.

“Over the last years, the parties boosted their cooperation in waste recycling, farming and agriculture and tourism sectors and shared experiences in these fields. As a result of it, the cities’ ties rapidly developed in a short time and they opened direct flights in regular basis,” S.Batbold said.

Other projects will be co-implemented to improve the study environment of schools, to establish a sisterhood town and to collaborate in the health and education in Songinokhairkhan district.

Moreover Director of the Arts and Cultural Department of Ulaanbaatar city J.Damdintseren and Director-General of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Busan Lee Byung-jin inked a Memorandum of Understanding.
