Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A student of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology opened her painting exhibition entitled 'Age 18' at fine art gallery of the Union of Mongolian Creative Artists on October 4 that is her birthday.

This is her first independent exhibition and she draws paintings in genres of realism and abstract. Over 20 paintings such as 'Idol', 'Peaceful nature', 'Color of Autumn', 'Portrait of a woman', 'Perfection' and 'Sorrow' are being displayed at the exhibition.

She notes, “Feature of realist painting is that this kind of painting is easy to understand for everyone even if they cannot draw. It means that realist painting is not abstract. This time, my exhibition is showing paintings drawn only on canvas,”.

"It is possible for everyone to see both realistic and abstract paintings from my exhibition. For instance, my painting named 'Sorrow' depicts unpleasant feeling of people when they are unhappy,” she continued.
D.Batchimeg has been awarded recently the best young artist certificate as well as a bronze medal from the Asian Fine Arts contest with his painting 'Idol'.

The exhibition is free and will continue until October 5.
