Cabinet instructs to increase kindergartens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During the Cabinet’s meeting, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports G.Chuluunbaatar presented the current situation of the access to pre-school education. Accordingly, the Cabinet gave following directions.
  • To process the requests of individuals and entities with a facility decorated for kindergarten purpose and human resource available for operating a kindergarten and grant their permission.
  • To provide legal support to the initiatives of individuals and entities willing to expand and operate kindergarten for the employees of Ministries, industries, authorities, aimag and regional governor’s office.
  • The Governors were instructed to conduct kindergarten registration and admission without any difficulties for the children's parents and guardians, increase the number of children attending kindergarten in each respective area and improve education quality.
  • The Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports was instructed to include necessary expenditure of renovating kindergartens and investment to the state budget and seek foreign loans and aids. As well as to conduct research on purchasing pre-school facilities from individuals and entities within the frames of law and report back to the Cabinet.
The Cabinet is broadening the scopes of establishing kindergartens near offices. As of today, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Khan-Uul District Governor’s Office, 3rd and 4th power plant and Wedding Palace are conducting maintenance works to establish kindergartens. These will create 225 kindergarten quota for children. According to the survey concerning the establishment of kindergartens, taken from the ministries, five of them were able to build a kindergarten and the necessary funds will be included in the 2018 budget.
