Average household income increases by 6 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The results from the second quarter of the 2017 Household Socio-Economic Survey showed that average monthly household monetary income was MNT 926.4 thousand, increased by MNT 52.0 thousand (6.0%) compared to the same period of the previous year. It was mainly driven by increases of MNT 23.3 thousand (4.8%) in wages and salaries, MNT 23.9 thousand (14.9%) in pension and allowances income.

In the second quarter of 2017, average monthly household real monetary income (eradicated price inflation impact) was MNT 896.8 thousand, increased by MNT 22.4 thousand (2.6%) compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the second quarter of 2017, average monthly household monetary expenditure amounted to MNTone million, increased MNT 53.1 thousand (5.6%) compared to the same period of the previous year. This increase was mainly driven by increase of MNT 45.3 thousand (6.4%) in non-food expenses and services and other expenditure.

In the second quarter of 2017, average monthly household real monetary expenditure (eradicated price inflation impact) was MNT 970.0 thousand, increased by MNT 21.1 thousand (2.2%) compared to the same period of the previous year.
