PM J.Erdenebat meets Vietnam’s Minister of Agriculture

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ J.Erdenebat, Prime Minister of Mongolia, Tuesday received visiting Mr Nguyen Xuan Cuong, the Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, who is taking part in the 16th meeting of the Mongolia-Vietnam intergovernmental commission in Ulaanbaatar.

Vietnam is one of the important partners of Mongolia in Southeast Asia. Boosting the traditional and friendly relations with Vietnam is one of the goals of Mongolian foreign policy, the Prime Minister emphasized, and expressed the willingness to intensify the mutually-beneficial ties and cooperation with the country.

“Now we have to take certain measures for increasing the bilateral economic cooperation and the trade turnover. The intergovernmental meeting continuing here has a vital role in it,” the Premier said. He also hopes that the parties will focus attention to realizing agreements on supplying each other meat, meat products and sea products.

Saying that Vietnam exports agricultural products to some 150 countries, Mr Nguyen Xuan Cuong noted the sides have discussed issues of boosting the ties and cooperation in the field. He also said he will implement works agreed at the intergovernmental commission meeting.
