Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ For preparation to the biggest national holidays of Mongolia – Naadam, running tracks of the Central stadium are being improved and parking spaces and roads outside the stadium are being expanded. The numbers of lightings and seats are being increased.

Deputy Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh has visited the Central Stadium, archery field and “Khui Doloon Khudag” Naadam Complex to assess the progress of preparation for the celebration of the 2226th anniversary of establishment of the First Mongolian State, 811th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 96th anniversary of the People’s Revolution and the National Naadam Celebrations.

Parking space for 1,500 cars is being constructed. This year, the Government budgeted MNT 2.5 billion for Naadam preparations, which amount is MNT 300 million shorter from the previous year’s.

“The preparations are 60 percent complete. Although the budget is smaller this year, we will try our best to celebrate the holiday solemnly”, said Mr U.Khurelsukh, chairman of the National Committee on Organizing the National Naadam Celebrations.

Additional watering is necessary for the “Khui Doloon Khudag” Naadam Complex, because this June is relatively dry. The Deputy PM also advised to shorten the distance for horse races, if there is not enough grass on the ground prior to Naadam.
