Speaker M.Enkhbold congratulates Hakuho for 38th win

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Speaker of Mongolian Parliament M.Enkhbold received today, May 30, the 69th Yokozuna (Grand Champion) of Japanese professional sumo M.Davaajargal and congratulated him on the 38th win in a bimonthly competition of the highest division of sumo.
Mr Enkhbold then wished him many more years of success on the round ring of professional sumo.

Hakuho Davaajargal responded with thanks and expressed his satisfaction of coming back to his motherland full of success. “Training was good. It hit me hard when I had to take a break in the middle of the March basho (bimonthly competition) because of injury. However, my recovery was quick. I never imagined, at the time when I became the champion, that there would be four Mongolian champions in professional sumo. I am very proud”, he continued.
 
Speaker said “You have potential to even win the 2020 Olympics. Your father became the champion of national wrestling and won Olympic and world medals in freestyle wrestling in the 20th century, and You are making the nation proud by becoming a champion of professional sumo in this century. Please do continue raising Mongolia’s reputation in the world and continue to win!”.
