Rio bronze medalist E.Sodnompiljee wins gold in World Para Powerlifting World Cup

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian State Honored Athlete E.Sodnompiljee, who is a winner of the bronze medal of the Rio Olympics 2016 claimed a gold medal from the Eger 2017 World Para Powerlifting World Cup. The competition took place in Eger city of Hungary from May 4 to 7.
 
Starting this year, he moved up a weight class to 97 kg category and won the World Cup by lifting 221 kg in his new weight class in Hungary. 
Iraqi athlete Thaer Al-Ali won a silver medal by lifting 210 kg and Nuriddin Davlatov from Uzbekistan secured a a bronze medal with 180kg.
