Mongolia-China Young Scientists Exchange Program to be implemented

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 2, Prime Minister J.Erdenebat met with the delegates of Chinese Academy of Sciences led by its President Bai Chunli who are on a visit to Mongolia at the invitation of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.

At the beginning of the meeting, the PM J.Erdenebat expressed his view that this visit plays an important role for the development of bilateral ties between the science academies of Mongolia and China and of two countries. He added "Developing friendly relations and cooperation with the People’s Republic of China is one of the priorities of Mongolian foreign policy. I am quite satisfied with deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership of Mongolia and China in all spheres”. 

The both sides have agreed to implement ‘Young Scientists Exchange Program’ which enables Mongolian young scientists to qualify in scientific institutions and universities of China for one year starting this June. Moreover, the two organizations have been working to sign MOU to establish Science Park and Innovation Infrastructure in Mongolia.

"We have been discussing the issues of joint research on desertification and permafrost and production of liquid fuel and coal gasification, the biggest global challenges and issues" informed the President of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At the end of the meeting, the PM J.Erdenebat noted that a participation of Presidents of academies of Mongolia and China who are in charge of studies on the production of value-added final products from coal, which is one of the most vital economic 'ingredients' as well as of research on the boost of scientific production.
