World Bank to implement social accountability project in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 27, M.Otgonbayr, Chairman of the Governor’s Office of Capital city and James Anderson, World Bank’s Country Manager for Mongolia signed a memorandum of  understanding on “Mainstreaming Social Accountability in Mongolia” project.  

Within the framework of the memorandum, City Governor’s Office and World Bank will be cooperating on implementing sub-projects in maintaining social accountability in Chingeltei, Songinokhairkhan and Bayanzurkh districts and nationally distribute the selected practice in the regions.

Initiated by World Bank, “Mainstreaming Social Accountability in Mongolia” project is funded by World Bank and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The project aims to enhance public service access by improving social accountability between the citizens and state.
