Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to a report of the Bank of Mongolia, money supply (broad money or M2) reached MNT 11.4 trillion at the end of September 2016, which increased by MNT 184.9 billion (1.6 %) against the previous month and by MNT 1515.4 billion (15.3%) against the same period in 2015.

At the end of September, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 795.8 billion, showing increase of MNT 21.4 billion (2.6%) against August and of MNT 27.9 billion (3.6 %) compared to the same period in last year. Loans outstanding amounted to MNT 12.4 trillion at the end of September, which indicates increase of MNT 50.5 billion (0.4%) from the previous month and by MNT 470.3 billion (3.9%) compared to the same period in 2015.

Principals in arrears reached MNT 782.2 billion at the end of September, decreased by MNT 45.8 billion (5.5 %) from the previous month and by 46.4 billion (5.6 %) compared to the same period in 2015. At the end of last month, the nonperforming loans over the bank system reached MNT 1036.3 billion, which decreased by MNT 20.8 billion (2.0 %) from the previous month and increased by 183.8 billion (21.6%) against the same period in 2015.

Some 54.6 million pieces of securities traded valued at MNT 214.8 billion in the stock market so far this year. The securities trading decreased by MNT 543.3 billion (71.7 %) and that of shares increased by 29.8 million pieces (2.2 times) compared to the same period in 2015.
