Next Congress of Mongolists expected in August
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Since a “Mongol Studies and Sustainable Development” themed 11th International Congress of Mongolists will run in Ulaanbaatar this August 15-18, the cabinet assigned Minister of Education, Culture and Sciences L.Gantomor to set up and head an organizing group and to develop a preparation plan to this event.
The congress meeting is held every five years under auspices of the Mongolian president to review all achievements gained and to reassure that Mongolia is the center of global Mongol studies.
The previous meeting was attended by more than 250 foreign scholars from 25 countries and 100 national scholars in 2011 in Ulaanbaatar. This year's measure is supposed to gather nearly 400 scholars.
