Weather radar stations to be renewed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet adopted a resolution on some measures for renovation in climate and environmental analysis sphere and expansion of the network on March 21.

Measures of priority include weather radar station system renovation, creating networks, upgrading capacity of the supercomputer, and supplying of the 180 of state climate branches with automated stations.

The Minister of Finance B.Bolor and the Minister of Environment, Green Development and Tourism N.Battsereg were assigned to study the domestic financial sources to implement the system renovation at Morin-Uul radar station, and a supply of the stations.

All this will improve a prevention from natural calamities and will reduce the disaster risks, the Ministers consider.
