Citizens’ council gives 22 million for wildlife conservation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Environmental Council of Citizens handed January 13 a funding of 22 million Togrog, allocated from an animal protection fund of the Republic of Turkey, to “Olgii Baigali”--a union of environmental cooperatives.

In connection with the worsened wintering in northern and eastern regions of Mongolia, wild animals are in as much danger as the five kinds of livestock are face. So, the Council told the union to dedicate the financing to the protection of the wildlife.

Olgii Baigali union members said they intend to make contribution to conserving of wildlife in hunting region of Bayan-Olgii aimag through organizing conservation framework and biotechnical measures.
