“Joint project in radioactive sector should be accelerated”

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Representatives of the “Areva Mongolia” LLC has presented a course of a joint project, being implemented in the radioactive mineral sector, and some urgent problems.

It took place at a meeting between the Ministry of Mining R.Jigjid and a delegation headed by Ms Elisabeth Barsacq, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Mongolia, on Thursday.

The Minister expressed condolences to France on the deaths of many during the Paris attacks.

In response, Ms Barsacq underlined an importance of the Mongolian President’s visit to France and noticed the establishment of seven agreements within this visit and a widening of the bilateral cooperation in politics, economic and cultural spheres.

Mr Jigjid mentioned about the Mongolia-France cooperation and pointed out that our government attaches a significance to the project to be realized in the radioactive mineral sector. He also underlined that the two sides should promptly solve the problems facing the realization of the project and work on a principle of win-win collaboration, and that an establishment of a contract on this project must be accelerated.
