591 new buses to be acquired for public transportation
During the Governor’s Council meeting dated April 14, First Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar in charge of Economic Development and Public-Private Partnership J.Sandagsuren introduced a report of the working group established by the order of the Capital City Governor. The working group was set up to estimate, study and develop proposals for the introduction of environmentally-friendly electric buses as part of the work to improve public transportation services in the capital city and reduce traffic congestion.

Construction permits planned to be issued digitally from June 1
Construction work starts in Spring every year due to Mongolia’s climate conditions. The construction sector is considered one of the most corrupted sectors right now in the country. In order to address this issue, numerous services including land, construction permits, and state acceptance commissions are being digitalized. Regarding the sectoral reforms, the Egazar.gov.mn website and mobile application have also been launched to provide land administration services digitally.

Last year, a decision was made by the capital city authorities to demolish buildings, structures, and garages that have unauthorized use of land with an aim to create a more comfortable environment for the citizens.
