Public buses in the capital city will serve free of charge during the Tsagaan Sar holiday or from 1st through 3rd days of  Lunar New Year (February16-18). The Ulaanbaatar City Council made this decision during its meeting on February 7.

Border checkpoints to close on Lunar New Year Days
On the occasion of Lunar New Year on February 16-18 in Mongolia and on February 15-17 in China, border checkpoints of the two countries will not work on these days, according to Agreement on Border Crossing Points and Their Management System established between Governments of Mongolia and Peoples Republic of China in 2004.
