Flood Protection Dams and Drainage Networks to be Built at Nine New Sites
With financing from the World Bank, flood protection dams, canal structures, and stormwater drainage pipelines will be renovated and expanded at nine locations across the capital city.The project, for which the terms of reference for the feasibility study (FS) and environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) have been approved, will be implemented in two packages. Under Package 1, flood protection dams and canals will be rehabilitated, while Package 2 will introduce trenchless technology to upgrade and renovate sewer pipelines without excavation.
