Remote settlements to be connected to digital state registration system
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ General Authority for Intellectual Property and State Registration (GAIPSR) gave briefing on the upcoming work to connect 120 soums to the digital state registration system by September within the ‘One citizen, one registration’ program.
The GAIPSR provides 81 types of registration and 43 types of referral services, which accounts for 60-70 percent of public services. Thus, the Government adopted package of state registration laws in November, launching the ‘One citizen, one registration’ program.
Within the framework of the program, GAISPR in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is working to digitalize state registration system and secure fast and efficient services.
With the technical assistance and support of ADB, 39 soums and 11 khoroo (subdistrict) of 12 aimags are currently connected to the system.
“It is important that every citizen of Mongolia should get the public service without any delay. ADB is supporting the implementation of ‘One citizen, one registration’ program initiated by the Government. Successful implementation of the program will increase the accessibility of public services and is essential for promoting e-banking and online trade in the future. We are delighted to announce that the program will be financed by ADB,” noted Ms. Yolanda Fernandez Lommen, ADB Country Director for Mongolia.
