Mongolia-China cooperation in health sector to expand
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by Acting State Secretary of
the Ministry of Health E.Sodnomjamts made a working visit to the People’s
Republic of China on December 16-19.
Within framework of the visit, the delegation held an
official meeting with Cui Li, vice-minister of China’s National Health
Commission (NHC), exchanging view on bilateral cooperation in health sector. The
sides mutually introduced and discussed the two governments’ policy and actions
in regard with prevention and fight against infectious diseases and development
of traditional medicine. Moreover, Mr. E.Sodnomjamts proposed to carry out
projects for renovating B block of the First Central Hospital’s surgical
building and newly constructing Tuberculosis Hospital with non-refundable aid
and soft loan of Chinese government.
The delegation also visited the Beijing Children's Hospital (BCH)
and China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (Sinopharm). At BCH, they met
Mongolian children having treatment at the hospital and their parents. Vice president
of the hospital Ge Wentongand, other officials welcomed the delegation and
introduced the hospital’s structure and operation.
Furthermore, during the visit, the delegation visited Fuwai
Cardiovascular Hospital, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and
China Electronics Technology Group Corporation and agreed to cooperate with
them by mutually exchanging and training health professionals and sharing
experiences.
