Humanitarian aid of Kazakhstan to be spent in Bayan-Ulgii
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Government of Kazakhstan awarded a grant aid of USD 500 thousand for the post-disaster reconstruction work in Mongolia. The Governor’s Office of the aimag reported that USD 400 thousand will be spent on recovery work of the flooding disaster occured on July 14-17 in Ulgii soum of Bayan-Ulgii. The remaining money will be allocated to other affected aimags.
In this regard, a working group in charge of organizing and monitoring spending of the humanitarian aid, led by Deputy Director of the National Emergency Management Agency, colonel B.Uuganbayar was established in accordance with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Decree No.105 of October 23, 2018.
The flooding in July affected a total of 929 households in Ulgii soum, causing MNT 15 billion recorded damages.
