Health Minister delivers speech at UN high-level meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The first-ever high-level meeting on
the fight against tuberculosis, under the theme ‘United to End
Tuberculosis: An Urgent Global Response
to a Global Epidemic’ was held on September 26, during the general debate of
the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
State or government heads, Foreign Ministers, and Health
Ministers of the UN member countries attended the meeting, unanimously adopting
a political declaration titled ‘United to End Tuberculosis: An Urgent Global Response to a Global
Epidemic’ at the beginning of the meeting.
Mongolian delegation headed by Minister of Health
D.Sarangerel took part in the meeting at which the Health Minister delivered remarks.
In her remarks, Health Minister D.Sarangerel introduced the Mongolian
Government’s policies, projects and actions in regard with tuberculosis and
pressing issues while expressing interest to expand international cooperation
in the prevention of the disease.
