Mongolian Wrestlers Claim 11 Medals at Bill Farrell Memorial in New York

Ulaanbaatar, November 10, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The New York Athletic Club hosted the
2025 Bill Farrell Memorial International from November 7 to 8, 2025, in New
York, United States of America, continuing a tradition that spans over six
decades. Recognized by United World Wrestling – the international
governing body for the sport of wrestling that oversees global rankings and competition
rules – the event attracts top athletes from around the world in both
Greco-Roman and freestyle disciplines.
The National Team of Mongolia delivered a standout performance at the tournament, earning a total of 11 medals – six gold, two silver, and three bronze.
The Women’s Team dominates, claiming eight medals in total, including six gold:
- Khulan Batkhuyag
(55 kg) – Gold
- Bolortuya Khurelkhuu
(57 kg) – Gold
- Tserenchimed Sukhee
(62 kg) – Gold
- Enkhjin
Tuvshinjargal (65 kg) – Gold
- Bolortungalag Zorigt (68 kg) – Gold
Namuuntsetseg Tsogt-Ochir earned silver in the 53 kg category, while Altjin Togtokh took bronze in the 59 kg category.
The Men’s Team earned
three medals:
- Bekhbayar
Erdenebat (61 kg) – Silver
- Munkh-Erdene
Batkhuyag (57 kg) – Bronze
- Batbilguun Naadambat (86 kg) - Bronze
As part of its revised policy for 2025, the Mongolian Freestyle Wrestling Federation has actively pursued joint international training programs to strengthen athlete development and global collaboration.
Following the tournament, the men’s team will participate in a joint training camp at the Regional Training Center in Pennsylvania and Lehigh University in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the women’s team will begin a 14-day training program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs starting November 10, 2025.
