"Ulaanbaatar Walking Festival 2025" to Be Held in Gorkhi-Terelj

Ulaanbaatar, August 18, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The “Ulaanbaatar Walking Festival 2025” will take place from August 22 to 24, 2025, in the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park of Mongolia.
The public event is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle while offering participants the opportunity to explore the history, culture, traditions, and natural beauty of Mongolia. Festival participants will move in stages through cultural and natural landmarks, fostering eco-friendly travel practices, strengthening international friendship, and supporting the preservation of local values.
The Festival is organized by the “Amar Mend” Walking Club and will be hosted in the form of a walking camp at the “Glass Vill Resort” in Terelj. Participants will have the option to stay one to two nights in traditional ger accommodations at the camp.
Walkers from all nine districts of the Capital city and 21 aimags will join, alongside participants from the Czech Republic, the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Bhutan, the United States of America, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Republic of Korea.
Beginning August 23, participants will walk three 12-kilometer routes covering Chinggis Mountain, Aryabal Monastery, Turtle Rock, and Yol Mountain.
