On November 5, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh worked at the Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC, meeting with staff members of the organization.

In the first 10 months of 2020, Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC has carried 24.8 million tons of freight, which exceeded the past year’s freight load by 1.7 million tons. In the given period, 1.9 million passengers travelled by services of the company, which is a decrease of 580,000 passengers since last year. The rise in the number of passengers is due to suspension of international passenger travel amid the pandemic.

The Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC has also taken part in building 27 km railroad to the oil refinery under development, and a construction of Zuunbayan-Tavantolgoi 88.5 km railroad.

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh ordered the Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC to improve workplace safety, accountability, discipline, and complete designing and construction of upper structure of Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan, Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsukhait and Zuunbayan-Khangi railroads on schedule.
