‘Mongolian Vegetable’ project to continue to be implemented

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 30, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Z.Mendsaikhan and Resident Representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Mongolia Vinod Ahuja signed the agreement for the last phase of the ‘Inclusive and sustainable vegetable and marketing’ (Mongolian Vegetable) project.

 

With aims to contribute to improved livelihood in Mongolia through inclusive, gender responsive and sustainable growth of the vegetable sector, the project will support farmers in rural and urban areas and especially the vegetable production of single mothers, and give opportunities for the farmers to increase their income by selling the vegetables in an organized manner that meets the market trends and consumer demands through its implementation.
